The Patriots were ready to walk away, while Brady who won 6 Super Bowl rings in twenty years of service probably wanted to go back to the Pats if they were willing to pay him $30 million a year.
Unfortunately for Brady, the thing that makes the Patriots great is the thing that ultimately made Tom walk out the door today. New England is notorious for bailing on players before they fall of the cliff, and convincing top-tier talent to take less money for the betterment of the team.
Only pay for players on the rise, not the players on decline is Bill Belichick’s Patriot way.
Tom Brady’s Says All The Right Things on His Way out the Door
“Our team has always set a great standard in pro sports and I know it will continue to do just that,” he added. “Although my football journey will take place elsewhere, I appreciate everything that we have achieved and am grateful for our incredible TEAM accomplishments.”
Post 2:
“MA has been my home for twenty years. It has truly been the happiest two decades I could have envisioned in my life and I have nothing but love and gratitude for my time in New England.,” Brady wrote.
“The support has been overwhelming – I wish every player could experience it,” Brady said. “I can’t thank you enough for the support of our team. The packed training camps and sold out stadiums are mostly the victory parades. I have been so blessed to share them with you all.”

Where Does Tommy Go From Here?
Look, Tom will have a few options, but if I have to predict where he will go – I’d say get use to Tom and Gisele on the red-carpets of Hollywood premiers because the glitz and glam of LA is in his DNA.
