The Bucks Star In Revenge Of The Deer

The Bucks Star In Revenge Of The Deer

First things first, did you see how happy the entire Milwaukee Bucks team was after they beat the short-handed Brooklyn Nets in game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals? It was the kind of reaction you would expect to see from a team that just advanced to the NBA finals or actually just won a ring.

The reality is the Bucks win over the Nets 115 – 111 in overtime was less about a fantastic steller performance by either team and it was more like a 15 round heavyweight boxing match where very few punches got thrown in the last 2 rounds.

What was more impressive than the overtime performance of either of these teams was the fact that the Bucks never caved in during the game and displayed a tremendous amount of heart which is why they ultimately won.

Kevin Durant and Giannis Antetokounmpo both had MVP-style games and yes Chris Middleton and James Harden both delivered 23 and 22 point games, but at the end of the game, it was the heart of the Bucks that overcame both the Nets and the terrible inbound plays called by the Bucks very own coaching staff.

As for the revenge factor, coming into this game it seemed as if every major media outlet outside of Wisconsin handed the game to the Nets days before the game was played. The win for the Bucks over the Nets was like that time Dorthy took down the Wicked Witch of the West in the Wizzard of Oz.
