So good old Carson Wentz showed up at Colts practice this week and was caught on tap pretending to throw a towel. Should the Colts throw in the towel on Wentz before the start of the season or do they need to give this broken-down old car more time to heal?
To this point, there is not an official timeline on when Carson Wentz will be cleared to play. The belief is that Wentz may be back in time for week one of the NFL season.
Wentz was spotted at practice this week basically going through the typical, injured quarterback motions at practice without actually practicing. Fake throws with towels, imaginary hand-offs, and the always entertaining dropping back to pass with no ball in his hand.
The reality is Wentz showed up to practice to reassure the Colts organization that this is just a minor setback.
Whether you believe this is just a minor setback or not, can anyone honestly say that they were surprised when they heard Wentz had been injured? Look I’m certainly not wishing injury on anyone, but some cars simply break down more than others.
